Companies often come to Technigraph after they have experienced problems with other labelers or decorators. Some of the most common problems we solve are really not problems at all when you approach them with the correct decorating strategy.
Custom Fabrication
Volume requirements, price points, part geometry, graphics and substrate material sometimes require custom built equipment. Our machine shop specialists have designed and built equipment for decades, and they enjoy being challenged. If you have an unusual part that other companies cannot figure out how to decorate, let us recommend a solution.
Emergency Runs
Because we control all aspects of pre-press and production, we can respond in an urgent manner to last minute, crisis situations. Backordered product, unforeseen demand, urgent copy changes or unanticipated overflow can often be accommodated in our schedule due to the large number of presses in our plant and quick turnaround times for tooling, art and color matching.
Ink Adhesion and Compatibility
Some materials - such as polypropylenes, PET, crystal clear styrenes, ABS, and polycarbonates - can complicate the bonding process between the ink and the substrate. Our Ink Lab is staffed by professionals with more than 70 years of combined experience with virtually every packaging material. Custom ink formulations, special additives, pre-treatments such as flaming or Corona discharge, curing methods and rigorous process control can all be utilized to overcome adhesion problems. In other cases, your product or the environment it is used in may be incompatible with and destructive to certain inks. In our Ink Lab, we can mix inks to withstand many harsh products and surroundings.
“Too Much” Copy
Is your decorator telling you your copy won’t be readable if it’s made small enough to fit your part? We routinely achieve excellent print fidelity down to type sizes as small as 4 point. Many of our presses have also been modified, allowing us to expand the deco area of the part beyond what you might think is possible, so you can keep every important selling point on your beautiful label.
Our spacious and climate controlled warehouse can be used to stage product. Typically, blankware is stored for 30 days at no charge and printed ware for up to 60 days. Additional arrangements can be made if required.
